Final Instructions for Round 1 2014 DTRA National Championships Leicester Speedway

Hello Riders

Thanks for your entry to Round 1 of the 2014 National Dirt Track Championships. We have a really large entry for the series this year so thank you for getting your entries in on time. Please be aware that this will be important all season as we will be unable to except late entries due to the volume of interest in riding with us. For some riders it will be the first time racing with the DTRA if you see a new face please help them out and point them in the right direction. Our race meetings have a great reputation as a friendly place to ride.

Entries for Round 2 will go on line the day after the event or can be taken on the day via forms that will be available at sign on for those who like to pay cash this is an easy option. Also at sign on all riders will be able to collect a 2014 number board.

We have picked up a new series sponsor in the last 2 weeks. This means we have had to remake all the 2014 number boards to update with the new sponsors design. This is a really nice sponsor for DTRA and they have completely funded the new boards. It’s really important that all riders use this new 2014 number board on their bike on Sunday. It may be a good idea to pack your battery drill or whatever you need to mount the new board. We will be inspecting to make sure the board is present on your bike at technical inspection.

Our meeting on Sunday is going to be subject to a visit from Leicester City Council for a health and safety inspection. Please bear in mind the following to ensure that we are able to continue racing without any issues.

Only riders and officials who are signed on may set foot on the race track

Absolutely no riding in the pits

No Smoking

Your bike and equipment should comply with the requirements set out in the MCF Flattrack regulations

There will be parking attendants when you arrive. Please park where they tell you and no where else.

Racing straight after practice We are going to have our 2013 prize presentation in the bar straight after the event on Sunday. We know people have to travel home so we will make this a chance for a quick drink and an opportunity for people to collect there trophies and prizes. We won’t turn it into a long ceremony. Awards are down to 5th place in all the Adult classes and 3rd Place in all the Youth Classes.
