Two British riders climbed on top of the podium on Saturday night at Motoland Aaragon in the first ever Pro Final on the all new clay track at the purpose built motor park.
The entry list was a truely International field but it was DTRA rider Alan Birtwistle who lead the race from start to finish. Tom Neave edged round Peter Boast to take the 3rd place spot. Extra cold spanish nights leading to hard frost and made the track difficult to prepare, but Kenny and his team of hard working staff pulled out all the stops to prepare an excellent track in the olive grove overlooking amazing complex.
The final was run under flood lights and had a real authentic Dirt track feel. There was a great mixture of talent riding and watching racing including motorcycle racing legend Randy Mamola and current Moto 3 rider Alex Rins who took the top of the podium in the school bike class.
British riders Derek Brindley, Anthony Brown and Geoff Cain took the podium in the Vets Class (40+) whilst Tom Clement took victory in the novice from Andrew Collison.
Watch out for a whole load of new media from the camp and racing over the next few days.
